Hi, welcome to Cakes of Cornwall
For as long as I can remember my mum has been the ‘resident baker’ of the family. From every birthday cake to christenings, weddings and everything in-between. I’ve always been around cake and really took an interest in 2015. I was in high school and had no idea what I wanted to do until my teachers encouraged me to look into my hobbies (shoutout to Ms Purcell & Ms Perin for always believing in me). That was when it began, I started making cakes/desserts for all my friends and families birthdays, baking for school fundraisers, entering competition’s etc. Even though my cakes were a bit lopsided or burnt I always had my entire families constant love and support.

In 2017 I went on to complete a patisserie course at William Angliss. While doing this, I began selling cannoli every Saturday from my Zio Steve’s shop and that’s how “Don’t forget the cannoli” was born. At this stage my mum had passed on the role of family baker to me. With my mum watching closely, I began taking orders from the public. Things started slow but as time went on I was able to build a consistent cliental.

That brings us to now, 2021. After lots of trial and errors, endless amounts of icing sugar, bags of flour and lots and LOTS of eggs I decided to rebrand as ‘Cakes of Cornwall’. Cornwall street is where it all began. Starting from where my mum made her first cake, to me then driving my dad crazy by taking over the entire house with my cake supplies, to today where I have my very own cake studio. I’m excited to continue being a special part of peoples milestones and leave a lasting memory.
